Welcome back to Rhinestone Skies.

I've been thinking that the sparks of living things are like celestial bodies. They assemble around each other like stars and planets and solar systems and galaxies. Looking at things like this, one could imagine Three Rings which make up the "Kuma System."

Ring I. — The Kwan-Yin Angels
The First Ring is made up of the fractured sparks which together comprise the Creator Spark known as “Kuma.” They are lead by the spark of Faye Rockitt, who the ring collectively believes to be some kind of incarnation of Kwan-Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Deep Compassion.

Ring II. — The Plushie Punks (previously known as the Omni-Punks)
The Second Ring is made up of Kuma’s closest living human friends, residents of Earth who often participate in Emberlinks with Kuma. Debatably a kind of cosmic polycule, these are the only living creatures in Rhinestone Skies that have a thoroughly intimate relationship with Kuma (in truth, each of them seems to act as a direct counterpart with one of Kuma’s fractured sparks).

Ring III. — The Rhinestone Stargazers
The Third Ring is made up of various friends—some humans, some creators— that Kuma makes along their way. The sparks of this ring are highly independent, and some may only be encountered on rare occasion, but they are all beloved allies of Kuma that span into the furthest depths of Rhinestone Skies.

And so this series of records would be about the Stargazers. About the friends that Kuma makes along the way, and about Kuma's interactions with them. Their dreams and ponderings, their laments. The things they share with each other, plights and understandings. About connections above all else...

...but I suppose that's what everything's about.

AAAHHHHH this was such a fun project!!! All artists I collabed w on this r ppl I met on Soundcloud, and they're all so cool, and I look forward to workin w them again :3 U shld know all the verses/choruses/etc contributed by these artists were also written by them, I wanted everyone to make their own genuine contributions-- and they all did such a great job at adding unique dynamics to these tracks hehe
